We consult with you to determine whom your targeted market will be and discuss your overall goal of the website. Basically we work with you and can guide you when an idea needs to be reworked. Our customers have come to depend on us to let them know what works both in the design sense and in web content.
After discussing what names would be appropriate for your website, we will register your site name and determine who would be the best Web Hosting Company to set up your site with. Another step in this process is to determine what kind of exposure your site needs and to determine overall marketing needs for getting your new site out on the World Wide Web.
We will custom design your website and its pages, incorporating your ideas, goals, needs and mission statement (if applicable). We can "hand-code" your site to create the "Bells and Whistles" or we can use Dreamweaver MX or FrontPage to make your website unique, creative and interesting!
Preliminary Consultation -- The Steps
We discuss what your needs are for this website, your short term and long term goals, what you hope to achieve, is there a specific market or industry you are trying to target.
Write up a contract between all parties involved, priority mail for all parties signatures.
Create a domain name and determine a web hosting site.
For instance:
- Do you need data base support?
- Will you want a photo gallery?
- Do you need a bulletin board service?
- Are you selling merchandise and need a shopping cart?
- How much traffic will your site draw and how much traffic does that web host allow without penalty?
- Do you need an authorizing agent similar to that of Verisign® (for signing contracts or accepting payment)
- Will you need a secured site or part of it for a payment system? (like PayPal®)
- Will you want a guestbook or have need of other forms?

• How often do you want new copy or design changes?
• Will there be any specialty items or custom graphics/logos throughout your website?
At this stage we will gather any additional information about your and your company for the website and discuss the domain name and finalize the content/copy.
- Register Domain Name.
- Design the main template(s) for the website and submit for your approval. (This can be by PDF or Priority Mail)
- We start the coding of your site, including all information we may need for databases and forms.
- At this point we meld the text copy and the coding. This is your first proof where you see the text copy and formatting together. After we get your approval for proceeding we will make any copy changes, finalize the coding and place your website on a test site for a trial run through. We check for browser compatibility, make sure all links and forms are working, etc.
- Move website from the testing site to you domain name site.
- Final run through and test the entire website.
- Submit your website URL with search engines and/or web directories.
- Create a backup.
- Regular maintenance and updates. If exterior links to other websites are used, we check them and make sure they are current and can also at this point exchange out photos.
We want your website to be an integral part of the "renewal" by keeping it fresh, new and informative.
To help with this, we work with you on updating your website with new and current information and by adding new features. Our "physical side" of our business - print media, can help you create news releases, newsletters and mailing lists to help you get the "word" out. We can also help you create an E-zine offering insightful tips regarding your business, products and services. This is a wonderful "gimmick" that helps draw folks to your website.
